Walk 6 - Soucas

This was probably the walk I enjoyed the most. It was a perfect day, with clear skies but not too hot. And at the end the Branas de Sousas was a classic branas with thatched shelters and a herd of cows wandering in and out of the shelters.

It starts at the end of another valley. The road got narrower and narrower, and at one point Jemina had to reverse a distance to clear the road, so that a lorry could get by in the other direction. A single track road through the final village had the same frisson of excitement as we ardently hoped that we would meet nothing coming the other way. The final stop was at a parking lot, which was quite full, and even fuller when we returned. Getting the car out was another adventure for Jemina
