27 June Thursday : Moraira to the Buen Amor Hotel near Salamanca.
We left home at 09:30 and arrived at Buen Amor around 17.00 having been delayed due to a traffic jam around Madrid.
This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel. We had a fantastic room with a vaulted stone ceiling. There was a long corridor between the bedroom and the bathroom and a Juliet balcony overlooking the pool.

I went for a swim and we read for awhile before going for a stroll and then sitting down outside with a glass of wine and ordering from the bar menu: pasta with wild boar, and eggs with fois gras. The former was nothing special, but the ambience was fantastic : hearing the bird song and observing storks nesting at the top of a tree. We followed this with two lime pies for pudding, somewhat indulgent of us but they were very nice.
Towards the end it started raining so we finished eating in a fairy tale courtyard of the castle.
28 June Friday. Salamanca to La Peral.
A good night's sleep, then a lovely breakfast down in the cellars. A short walk before leaving at 10:30.
