On from Wells Gray, it was a cross country journey. We stopped at the small town of Clinton to stretch our legs, and have a look around the local museum, dedicated to the original pioneers in the area. From there we climbed up through the mountains to finally reach Whistler
We stayed at the Sundial Boutique Hotel. More a luxury apartment than a hotel room. There was enough time left in the day to settle in and then have a stroll round the town

Whistler is a modern ski resort, that operates through the year with the gondolas running for mountain bikers and hikers in the summer. Parking on-street has been forbidden, which is good as it keeps the cars away from view - downside is that either you pay quite a lot to park off-street, or find the only public car park that lets you park 24 hours - and that is quite a hike in itself to get to.
We were very satisfied with our accommodation, it had bedroom, living room and fully equipped kitchen. We looked out over one of the gondolas and there was the bonus of a hot tub on the roof.
