Great seating on the terrace, sea view, occasionally with dolphins. The service was good, so was the quality. Parking available in from of the hotel. If hot, can dine inside. Relaxing atmosphere. Grouper was well prepared. Most likely be back if in Catumbela.
This hotel has a great beach front location, with fairly modern rooms with balconies, most facing the sea, but its failings really drag this hotel down. Reception is always manned by four people but none speak english… get Google Translate ready. They only accept Visa cards and do not understand the concept of “charging to your room”. The restaurant is charmless and the menu poorly presented / translated.. eg Stuffed Woodpecker - really?? Service dreadfully slow. Any meal with the word Terminus involved is smothered in a strange sauce eg Terminus hamburger. Maintenance is to African standards.. eg clapped out sunloungers, and taps where hot water comes out the cold tap. The door lock failed and had to be replaced. We also had a broken safe. The Swimming pool is modern. Breakfast is OK - the cooked options are poor eg frankfurters and sliced bits of omelette but the portugese cakes and bread are good. Lobito is safe to walk about during the day. For a short stay, it is probably the best place in town, but do not be tempted to book here for a holiday - you will regret it .. such a shame, as it could be really good.
