We parked the car at Robledo, and walked uphill through the village. Then out onto a path rising quite steeply through chestnut forests, before emerging at the abandoned Brana de las Cortinas
There was a bit of a hiatus as a couple of large mastiffs, which had been left to guard cattle, launched themselves at us. Luckily the fence stopped them getting out - Alfredo said it was his dog Fah that they were after. These dogs are common guard dogs to deter both bears and wolves which are fairly common in the Asturias countryside
We picnicked in the Brana, and returned back down by the same fairly steep path to Robledo
