This walk followed the valley downwards. It was in fact the old road, but was now a track high above the modern paved road. We climbed quite steeply at the beginning, and then descended quite steeply once we got near Castro
Once again a part of the world untroubled by modern tourists. We hardly saw another fellow traveller along the way. The Hydro-electric plant is hidden from sight, far below on the road, but the water pipes carrying the water to it are clearly visible.
And Castro, a pretty little village with many of the traditional houses remaining, but like many of the villages here, neither shops nor bars
We did this walk last year too
